Our Diary

When it comes to selecting your wedding gown,  there’s a variety of factors to take into consideration, things like venue, season, indoors vs. outdoors and of course your own wedding day style. But at the end of the day, we’re of the opinion that you should select whatever dress makes you feel like a bride.

Every year, we wonder how we could possibly love gown designs more than we already do, and then Bridal Fashion week comes around and we’ll admit, we continue to be totally thrilled with how the styles are evolving. This year, we’re excited to see styles remain classic and elegant, with special hints of flair. Each style that was sent down the runway seemed to hold sacred the “traditional” wedding gown flavor but with an added twist. We loved seeing the continued illusion neckline, the touches of lace, and refreshed use of sparkle. We also really loved how much structure some of the gowns seem to have.

Needless to say, we’re really looking forward to seeing some of these stunning gowns make their way off the runway and down the aisle on our future brides.

Below are a few of our favorites (it’s really hard to pick, by the way!). Take a peek and snag some inspiration before you make your bridal appointments!

We’re always up for working with our venue friends to assist them in showcasing their properties! It’s not only a great chance to get creative, but it’s a great opportunity to collaborate!

This month, we had such a great time working with some of our favorite friendors to showcase the famous Winchester Mystery House at their showcase.

It’s an excellent place to host a party, and of course it’s incredible history adds a fun layer to your celebration-especially if it’s themed.  It’s unique, full of beautiful historic touches and it has gorgeous indoor and outdoor spaces. We really enjoyed designing the party and we were 100% over the moon to team up with Luis Castillo, Nicole Ha, Classic Party Rentals, and AFR Rentals.

Take a peek through the photos below (P.S, isn’t Luis a fab photographer?!)

“The experience it takes to be a good wedding & event planner means that over time, you end up with quite a list of tricks and advice that seems to help every time. Here’s my top list of quick tips + tricks to consider when planning for a comfortable and smooth wedding day.” -Nashley

  • 1. Try to buy your wedding shoes a size bigger and use a foot insole for at least the first part of the day. When your feet start to swell (I don’t know why, but they will!) take your insoles out and you’ll be able to wear them a bit longer. This will help you enjoy the moments more, and worry less about your feet.

  • 2. Use a light exfoliant on the morning of your wedding, especially if your skin feels a little dry. If you don’t have something on you, use a bit of sugar and a drop of oil or water). A quick light facial will help enhance that glow.
  •
  • 3. Don’t forget to take a few selfies, at least before you head out for the day. Everyone wishes they had at least a few.
  •
  • 4. Don’t overdue the perfume-especially if you’re traveling in a limousine.
  •
  • 5. Pack a pair of flats so you can dance the night away.

    • 6. Of course you’ll sneak in some one-on-one time with your partner, but don’t forget about your parents. Make sure to save a few moments for them.

    •
    • 8. Drink ALOT of water-both leading up to the wedding and during the wedding day itself.
    •
    • 9. Relax and don’t take yourself so seriously. You’ve worked hard to plan this wedding, and it’s time to enjoy it!
