To answer this question directly – yes, event planners can absolutely work from home, and we do!
Although we’d much rather work with our favorite vendor partners at Santa Lucia Preserve for instance, due to COVID-19, we too have been working from home.
When event planners are forced to work from home, the days are spent hosting virtual meetings with our team and clients, staying up to date on the latest event trends, connectIng with industry partners, and continuing to plan upcoming events that will happen in person, eventually on a larger scale.
As expected with sheltering in place, a popular trend for 2020 weddings is a small guest count at a private estate. Naturally, the Amazáe Events team has decided to partake by designing charming vignettes within their own homes, spoiling their spouses and family members with their expertise.
Here’s one peak into what it looks like to be an event planner working from home…
Let’s start with Amy’s sweet anniversary celebration complete with dessert from Mijji Cakes.
Nashely created an intimate patio dinner for her family one evening to enjoy this gorgeous California weather we’ve been having.
Similarly, Kristen designed a private candle-lit picnic in her parents’ yard with locally sourced cheeses from the central coast.
Lisa completely redesigned her backyard to create the perfect set up for dining al fresco and entertaining at home.
Lisa also shared her talents with a few members of the team when they met safely, for a virtual wine tasting hosted by WIPA and Charles Krug. She even put together individual platters so each guest could build their own hand-held grazing board. Cedar planks were used so guests could take them home to grill.
Caitlin repurposed her wood plank to create a private tequila tasting for a couple of family members in the living room. Cheers!
Also on theme, Crystal hosted a festive and fun Cinco de Mayo party for her family last month.
Even Crystal’s daughters got in on the action to create a special Mother’s Day celebration for mom.
While we desperately await the day we are once again executing luxury events among the Napa Valley vines, we love to see the talents of our team getting utilized.
Have you hosted an event while sheltering in place? We’d love to see what you can do! Share your home events and design skills with us by uploading photos or videos to social media with the hashtag #AmazáeItAtHome.
